Aquavista buys Clyde Marina in Ardrossan, its first marina in Scotland

Aquavista, the UK's largest marina operator, announced on 29 September the purchase of Clyde Marina in Ardrossan on the north Ayrshire coast, about 30 miles from Glasgow. Broker Sunbird International Yacht Sales joins the group with it. It is the company's first site in Scotland and takes its network to 34 inland and coastal marinas.

Clyde Marina has 280 serviced berths and two boatyards with room for more than 300 boats, a 50-tonne travel hoist, a 20-tonne boat mover and a 25-tonne crane.

Existing customers gain access to the whole network, including the Explore 100 and Marina Swap schemes — handy for anyone keeping a boat near Scotland's west coast cruising grounds.
