Croatia extends ACI marina concessions to 2058, with €140 million of investment
On 1 October the Croatian government extended the concessions for 21 ACI marinas until 2058, 28 years beyond the previous deadline of 2030. The list runs from Umag and Rovinj to Split, Dubrovnik and Korčula.
ACI has committed to around €140 million of investment and some 110,000 square metres of additional berthing area. The new fee combines a fixed €1.50 per square metre, rising by €0.07 every five years, with 4% of annual revenue.
For owners this ends years of uncertainty over Croatia's largest marina chain and should unlock postponed upgrades, although higher concession fees may gradually show up in berth prices.
