Kolding opens first phase of Marina City, Denmark's big new marina project

Kolding Municipality has completed the first phase of Marina City and opens it to the public on 13 October at 13:00 at Marina Syd. Finished works include a harbour promenade, a service building, new coastal protection, a slipway for trailer boats and dinghies, storage and event space for several hundred boats, and more than a kilometre of rerouted Skamlingvejen.

Later phases are to add up to 1,000 berths, about 350 homes and up to 15,000 m² for marine businesses, running into the early 2030s. Applications go to the Danish Coastal Authority by the end of this year.

For owners around the Little Belt it means more hardstanding and service space now, with new berths only later.
