Sopot marina to gain 18 new berths with PLN 4.6 million of EU funding

On 9 October the city of Sopot signed the funding agreement for rebuilding its marina at the foot of the famous wooden pier. The project is worth about PLN 6.7 million, of which PLN 4.6 million comes from the European Funds for Pomerania 2021–2027 programme. Three lower pontoons will be rebuilt: one on the northern side and two on the southern side.

For boat owners on the Gulf of Gdansk that means 18 modern berths, five of them for vessels longer than 8 metres and five reserved for guests staying one or two nights. A dedicated hoist will let people with disabilities board safely from the quay. The work is due to be finished by the end of 2028.
