Sardinia grants €3 million to complete the Marina di Cannigione upgrade
On 22 September 2026 the Region of Sardinia allocated €3 million to the municipality of Arzachena to finish the redevelopment of Marina di Cannigione in the north-east of the island. The money covers the final phase of a €4.8 million project presented in 2023: fire-fighting systems, water and electricity networks for the moorings, new paving, lighting and street furniture.
Work on the eastern breakwater (€1.378 million) is due to start in mid-October. After it, the outer pier will offer 38 berths, in addition to 67 berths for medium and large yachts on the northern quays.
For owners cruising the Costa Smeralda, this means better-serviced berths close to Porto Cervo and Olbia airport. The tender for the last waterfront phase is planned for 2027.
